Currently based in the Okanagan in BC Canada, I am a native Austrian visual artist. Since graduating from visual art class at the Federal Secondary College of Engineering in Innsbruck, Austria, I have been seamlessly working in sculpting and Fine Arts. I have worked as a professional sculptor on a vast array of projects in Austria and Germany from monumental sculptures to restoring projects from private individuals as well as palaces and historical buildings. Over the years of commissioned work, I have collected a lot of knowledge about classical sculpting in a variety of materials. This knowledge and skills can also be seen in my current abstract work.

As a trained woodcarver, my work is rooted in traditional European chip carving. And I still like the classic approach to start an idea with a sketch or clay model to a final piece of art - to play with light and shadows, colors, different textures, and surfaces. The patterns and geometric forms upon closer inspection in many natural objects are strong inspirations.
